Car Insurance: Don't You Just Love Finding Ways to Save Money?

Saving money is so much fun, especially when it is on car insurance. Don’t you just love to see those discounts add up and your premiums go down?

 Ask About Discounts

Getting cheap car insurance is all about knowing how to reduce your rates. You can save money in so many ways yet you may not be taking advantage of all of them.

  • Get rewarded for being a safe driver by having a car that has special features like anti-lock brakes or anti-theft devices.
  • Don’t forget the importance of being a good driver, too. Take a defensive driving class and tell your insurance agent about it.
  • Keep adding up the years without a traffic violation and you’ll lower your rates even more.

Think about other aspects of your lifestyle and how they can help you save money on car insurance quotes. For instance, if you bike or walk to work, you may get rewarded. If you happen to have home insurance or other policies with the same provider, that can help even more. You can also ask another person in your household to insure their car with the same company so that you get the multiple car discount. Add up all of these discounts and you could save a lot of money.

The Great Evolution of Deliveries

Sometimes, it’s necessary to reflect back on how things were in order to truly appreciate how good you have things now.

For instance, aren’t you grateful that services like USPS shipping are providing shipping solutions that are slightly more sophisticated than those used during the reign of Cyrus the Great back in 550 BC? That is, unless you’d prefer for your mail to be delivered via horse and message carrier.

Check out the infographic below to discover some fun facts about the history of deliveries and what we have to look forward to in the near future.

The ROI of Great Web Design

It’s fairly important to determine the ROI (return on investment) for all aspects of your business. The reason being that if you aren’t making money as a result of a certain thing, then you are likely losing money as a result of it. It’s possible you haven’t considered the implications of how this applies to your overall website design. The following infographic addresses that very circumstance:

Starting a business? Here's an infographic on hiring web designers...

If you’re starting a business today there’s a few things you need to know:

  • You absolutely need a website, but you should already know that. The real question is where and how do you find a web designer you can trust? This infographic aims to clear up that confusion.
  • CMS’s like Wordpress and Tumblr (where this very website is hosted on) are rising dramatically because of their ability to help businesses launch websites at an affordable rate utilizing themes. While you’re limited to the amount of customizations you can make, most businesses find that a CMS like Wordpress can take care of 99% of their needs with little changes to add.
  • Costs? A basic small business website could be anywhere from $800-2500, eCommerce depends on who your payment processor is, number of products, etc. But could be anywhere from $2500-$10,000+. If you’re thinking about a technology startup or mobile application, it really varies on what you need but this is usually the most expensive option because you need things built from the ground up more often than not.

Checkout the infographic below for a visual analysis:

The Science of Higher Education

Effective teachers at all levels know that students learn differently from one another: Some learn best by hearing information, others are hands-on (or “kinesthetic”) learners, and still others are visual learners. But did you know that one of those groups makes up nearly two-thirds of the population? And do you know which teaching approach is most effective for each preferred learning style? Do you know which your own preferred learning style is?

Students of certain learning styles tend to gravitate toward professions that match their learning styles well. For example, visual learners are more likely than others to become artists, and auditory learners a more apt to become lawyers. It all comes down to what students are most comfortable doing, and how they’re most comfortable doing it.

Check out our latest infographic to find out more about learning styles, and about how teachers can best approach each learning style!

So Much Stuff!

Over the last half century, Americans began a collection: stuff. We collect everything. Our dresser drawers overflow, our closets bulge, and our garages hold cardboard boxes rather than family sedans. How did this happen? How do we put the brakes on it? Those questions are tough to answer. What are our homes filled with? How is all of this stuff affecting us? Those questions we can answer! Check out our new infographic below for an overflowing screen of knowledge. And when you’re done, you can share it, like it, or just move on. Much easier than cleaning out that second fridge!

Poo Who Knew?

Here we have a kind of gross infographic from the UK based commercial cleaning company called Cavalry clean all about poo.

The 1st part of the infographic is about unlikely places that you can find poo including bank notes, bank cards, shopping trolleys, cash machines, play areas, public transport, mobile phones, soap dispensers, restaurant menus and public door handles.

Next up there is a couple of tips about things you can do to protect yourself including not getting lemon in your glass of water at a restaurant as there is a high chance of it containing harmful microbes like E coli and other faecal bacteria and also not shaking hands with people who you don’t know.

The final part of the infographic offers a list of things you should do for instance, washing your hands on a regular basis and carrying anti-bacterial hand gel around with you. There is also a list of things you should avoid such as using other people’s phones and meeting where you know people are ill.

New York vs. LA vs. Chicago: Which One Is America’s Best Big City? [Infographic]

In this infographic we at SpareFoot focused on creating something unique that determined which of these 3 super cities were the best based on ranking factors that included 22 categories ranging from health, stress, traffic, housing costs, employment and food.  The 3 cities included in our not so scientific study were Chicago, Los Angeles and New York all strong contenders to represent America as the cream of the crop. It wound up being a close contest, but one city did take home the top honor. To find out which of the three is our Best Big City in America, check out the infographic. We just hope this doesn’t cause a civil war among residents of New York, LA and Chicago.
