Summer Skin Care Tips

External image

While summer could mean as the season of adventures and outdoor activities, it’s also the season where we need to get serious in shielding our skin from UV rays. Here’s an infographic from Erase Repair that shows some summer skin care tips:

  1. Apply an effective sunscreen. One of the most important protection tips is applying a sunscreen. But make sure it’s appropriate to your skin; proven and efficient. Choose a water-resistant sunscreen, with an SPF of 15 or higher for optimal protection. Experts recommend applying 15 to 30 minutes before going out.

  2. Keep your skin hydrated. Drink more water and eat seasonal summer foods like leafy greens, watermelon, and berries. These foods have a higher concentration of water. For best results, complement this approaching by applying an effective moisturizer.

  3. Wear proper clothing. Check your closet and take advantage of your clothes. Start with a hat to protect your ears and scalp. Prefer a garment made of cotton and high-luster polyesters. Take note: never wear a sleeveless if it’s too hot.

  4. Wear oversized sunglasses. Experts recommend oversized sunglasses for optimal protection. Or if you don’t have any oversized, a decent regular-sized sunglass is fine. Don’t forget to wear it when you go out.

  5. Heal the skin. Unfortunately, you still get sunburn (perhaps you missed something). What to do? Apply appropriate treatment as soon as possible immediately. Don’t hesitate to seek professional assistance.

  6. Protect your lips. Apply a lip balm every two hours or so, depending on the amount of contact with the UV rays.

Tutorial on How to Make a Dream-catcher

It is simple and complex at the same time. The making of a dream-catcher requires a very simple process that en-roots use into a complex tradition that is defining what we are today and what we become tomorrow. The simple act of crafting is beautiful, it enables us to leave a part of our memory into the craft and gain a shiver of experience in return.

We earn so much by doing so little and with a dream catcher we also obtain a sleep guardian, an element that gets us closer to a better sleep and something that beautifully accessorizes our bedroom in a pattern and color of our choosing, in a composition that cannot be anything else than pure beauty as it is designed and envisioned by our hands. These are simple yet complicated matter we stumble upon, identity, tradition and characters are rare object these days; make sure you have them, make sure you sculpt them in time, a simple craft might mean more than you would ever imagine.

What Happened to The Revenant Tribe?

2016 will see the acclaimed film The Revenant hoping to collect a plethora of film awards (and might perhaps finally get Leonardo DiCaprio his coveted Oscar). The story, which follows famed fur trapper Hugo Glass in the wilds of North America, is a classic survival tale, which also takes a look at the indigenous groups invested in areas like the Louisiana Purchase territory in the nineteenth century.

The indigenous tribe which Glass comes into contact with is the Arikara tribe, they were a used and exploited group in the film. Like most Native Tribes in America after colonisation they disappeared into the background on reservations and struggled to find a way of life. The laws of US did afford them some advantage and independence however.

Tribes today, the Arikara being one of them, now operate gambling operations to take advantage of their unique standing in certain states and tax breaks. Unibet have done a study and infographic to take a look at Native Americans standing in America today and their burgeoning economy in the world of casinos.
