It’s no secret that earning a college degree or a graduate degree can lead to a higher-paying job. But do you realize just how big the difference can be? We’ve broken it down to show you what kinds of jobs — and how much pay — you can expect when you earn a degree. You should never choose a major or a line of work solely for the pay, but keep these stats in mind if you’re wondering whether or not you should go back to school.
Also, think about costs as you consider pursuing more education. While a higher degree can pay off significantly, it can also come with a high price tag… Your return on investment will not only depend on how much you earn, but how much you have to pay to get that degree.

The roots of the “green” movement, now present throughout the world, originated during the industrial revolution as citizens first became aware of the negative impacts of pollution. Today, with ever-increasing amounts of waste generated by consumers and our industrial complex that manufactures all of the products used by our modern society, as junk haulers we see the environmental challenges affiliated with waste and junk disposal on a daily basis. At Fast Haul, we strive to recycle as high of a percentage of the junk and trash that we pick-up as possible. In the infographic below, we are paying tribute to the roots and development and the green movement that continues to grow and expand today.
Highlights include the major expansion of the National Parks system by President Franklin Roosevelt, the establishment of “Earth Day” and founding of Greenpeace in the early seventies, the 1992 UN Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, and the city of San Francisco’s ambitious “Zero Waste” program that aims to make S.F. the first municipality to be “waste-free” (i.e. all waste recycled, composted or otherwise re-used) by the year 2020.

Cutting PE out of schools is backfiring in a big way, contributing to our rampant childhood obesity epidemic and actually hindering students from top success in academic classes like science, math, and English.
Children should get about an hour of physical activity per day, something that’s vital to their growing bones, joints, fascia, and muscles. But more and more children are spending less time in PE class and outside playing and more time planted in their seats. This doesn’t just present immediate problems to the kids suffering from being overweight or obese; it poses dangerous long-term problems to their health and the progress of our nation too.
SPARK has been dedicated to being an advocate for PE and the fight against childhood obesity since 1989 by providing PE lesson plans, PE resources for teachers, and even a PE grant finder tool. Our infographic below examines why PE is so important, outlining current stats on PE and childhood obesity and the benefits of keeping PE in school.

Although the term “sci-fi” wasn’t coined until 1954, the concept of science fiction has existed ever since humans gazed up at the stars and wondered at the many possibilities. Countless books, TV shows, and movies have presented new, exciting visions of a life filled with aliens, space travel, and futuristic technology. But the growth of our actual technology blurs the line between fiction and reality.
AV Concepts has played its part in that with all kinds of new AV solutions and technologies, including 3D projection mapping and holographic projection. As the years go by, technology grows and science strives to improve and innovate our everyday lives. Maybe someday our lives will look like the set of a futuristic sci-fi movie.

If you own, or carry a gun regularly, it’s important that you know your gun laws and your rights. 44 states have constitutional provision protecting the right to keep and bear arm. However many state laws are different by state and you also need to consider federal gun laws as well. This infographic below reviews those laws. We hope you enjoy it.
Many users of social media are unclear on the rules and regulations that apply to conversation in the online world. There are in fact several laws that cover sites like Facebook and twitter, designed to improve the safety of users and prevent harassment or online abuse.
The general gist of these laws is that anyone sending messages, tweets or posts that are offensive, indecent or cause another party anxiety can be seen as guilty. The punishments for this behaviour include arrest, fines and even imprisonment!
There have been many incidences of cases where the law has come down hard on misusers. One man was jailed for 1 year and 243 days after he harassed his wife through Facebook. Two other men were jailed for 4 years for creating an event on Facebook that encouraged a riot. Check out the infographic to see more about these laws, who has broken them and what the result was.

Which Sectors are proving popular for the recruitment industry?
2013 was a fantastic year for the recruitment industry with increases in turnover and growth for both temporary and permanent markets. However, certain sectors certainly outperformed others! Technical and engineering based positions were the clear areas with the highest demand for workers.
In the permanent market accounting and financial roles came out as nearly 20% of the final volume for the sector. This was closely followed by secretarial and clerical work. 2013 was also a very strong year for IT and computing roles with 68,000 positions being permanently filled. Many recruiting consultants faced problems filling these roles during 2013 thanks to a shortage of candidates with the appropriate skills and experience for the role s on offer.
The occupational sectors coming out on top in the temporary market were also similar. Industrial and blue collar positions held the top spot however with a massive 241,000 placements in the year. The issue of candidates lacking the correct skills was far less present in the temporary industry.
