Summer Skin Care Tips

While summer could mean as the season of adventures and outdoor activities, it’s also the season where we need to get serious in shielding our skin from UV rays. Here’s an infographic from Erase Repair that shows some summer skin care tips:
Apply an effective sunscreen. One of the most important protection tips is applying a sunscreen. But make sure it’s appropriate to your skin; proven and efficient. Choose a water-resistant sunscreen, with an SPF of 15 or higher for optimal protection. Experts recommend applying 15 to 30 minutes before going out.
Keep your skin hydrated. Drink more water and eat seasonal summer foods like leafy greens, watermelon, and berries. These foods have a higher concentration of water. For best results, complement this approaching by applying an effective moisturizer.
Wear proper clothing. Check your closet and take advantage of your clothes. Start with a hat to protect your ears and scalp. Prefer a garment made of cotton and high-luster polyesters. Take note: never wear a sleeveless if it’s too hot.
Wear oversized sunglasses. Experts recommend oversized sunglasses for optimal protection. Or if you don’t have any oversized, a decent regular-sized sunglass is fine. Don’t forget to wear it when you go out.
Heal the skin. Unfortunately, you still get sunburn (perhaps you missed something). What to do? Apply appropriate treatment as soon as possible immediately. Don’t hesitate to seek professional assistance.
Protect your lips. Apply a lip balm every two hours or so, depending on the amount of contact with the UV rays.
